4 Azerbaijani judokas climbed the podium on the first day of the European Cup held among youth in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Sport24.az reports with reference to the press service of the Judo Federation that Nihad Mamishov (60 kg) and Abil Yusubov (73 kg) won gold medals by defeating all their rivals.
Farid Garayev (60 kg) won silver, and Muhammad Musayev (66 kg) won bronze medals.
Azerbaijan, with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals, ranked second in the overall team standings.
It should be noted that 226 athletes from 26 countries participated in the tournament.
