According to the International Judo Federation's calendar, the "Grand Slam" tournament will be held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on May 8-10.
Idman.Biz reports that 11 Azerbaijani judokas (6 men, 5 women) will compete in the competition in seven weight categories.
Our athletes will be led by Elxan Mammadov and Slavko Tekic, the senior coaches of the men's national team, Amina Abdellatif, the head coach of the women's national team, and Sasha Herkenrat-Vimar, the senior coach.
303 athletes (178 men, 125 women) from 37 countries will test their strength in the tournament, which is included in the World Judo Tour.
