The mixed team competition will take place today at the World Judo Championships in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Sport24.az reports that the Azerbaijani national team will compete in the World Cup, which is attended by 16 countries.
Our team will face Germany in the 1/8 finals.
The team includes Hidayat Heydarov, Rashid Mammadaliyev (both 73 kg), Eljan Hajiyev, Vugar Talibov (both 90 kg), Zelim Kotsoev, Ushangi Kokauri (both +90 kg), Gultaj Mammadaliyeva, Fidan Alizadeh (both 57 kg), Aytaj Gardashkhanli (70 kg) and Nigar Suleymanova (+70 kg).
It should be noted that Azerbaijani judokas won 3 bronze medals in individual competitions. Zelim Tckaev (81 kg), Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) and Zelim Kotsoev (100 kg) rose to the third step of the podium. Our team took 14th place in the team standings.
