The Judo Grand Slam tournament continues in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Idman.Biz reports that three more members of the Azerbaijani national team competed on the tatami on the third day of the competition.
Aslan Kotsoyev, competing in the 90 kg weight category, had a successful start to the tournament. He defeated Kazakh representative Aybol Nissanalin and advanced to the 1/8 finals.
In the over 100 kg weight category, Ushangi Kokauri was superior to Kazakh Jantilek Nurtilepulu and qualified for the 1/4 finals.
Azerbaijan's other heavyweight representative, Jamal Feyziyev, lost to Polish Jakub Sordi and said goodbye to the tournament.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team does not yet have a medal in its assets.
