26 judokas from Azerbaijan will compete at the European Cup among adults, which will be held in the city of Gori, Georgia. Sport24.az reports that the Azerbaijan Judo Federation has released this information.
They will represent the country in nine weight categories (23 men, 3 women).
From the men's team: Babarahim Mirzayev, Murad Aliyev, Murad Muradli, Mahammad Mamishov, Shamo Huseynov (all 60 kg), Yashar Najafov, Huseyn Allahyarov, Zahir Agazade, Islam Rahimov, Nizami Imranov, Bahram Gurbanli, Elshan Asadov, Nazir Talibov (all 66 kg), Nadir Imanov, Rufat Shovlatov, Nariman Mirzayev, Elton Imranov (all 73 kg), Khayyam Aliyev (90 kg), Nihad Shikhalizade, Ajdar Bagirov, Shahin Asadov, Elmar Gasimov (all 100 kg), Gurban Mammadli (+100 kg); from the women's team: Diana Tckayeva (48 kg), Ulviyya Bayramova (57 kg) and Madina Kaisinova (+78 kg) will take to the tatami.
The team will be led by the head coaches of the men's team - Elchin Ismayilov and Robert Kravchik, and the coach of the women's team, Imamverdi Mammadov.
The tournament will be held on May 9-10.
