Ulvi Aliyev, a member of the Azerbaijan national futsal team, has made a statement. Sport24.az reports that he commented on the friendly match (2:9) they lost to Kazakhstan as follows:
"We knew the strength of our opponent. It is no coincidence that they are the 4th strongest team in Europe today. They also performed quite well at the World Championship. True, they lost their qualification for the European Championship finals in the play-off matches. They have competitive championships.
The game was intense. We fought well for 12-13 minutes. Fatigue gradually took its toll. Because, unlike our opponent, we had 2 tough matches in Tbilisi, plus we arrived in Aktau late at night and went to the game without training. Let my words not be taken as an excuse. We are disappointed with the result, but we don't want to dwell on this defeat. We have both young and experienced players in our team. A new system is being built, the head coach's requirements are different. There is little game experience, such matches will help us a lot to fill this gap. I repeat, the situation is not as difficult as it seems. The main thing is to learn from our mistakes and improve our game. The important thing is the official matches, and we must be ready for them."
