The mini-football tournament among journalists in Shamakhi, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani National Press, has come to an end.
İdman.biz, referring to "Report", reports that the winners of the competition, organized by Yurd.Media and the Sports Research Center with the information support of the "Telegraf" Information Agency, at the Shamakhi Olympic Sports Complex have been determined.
In the match for 3rd place of the tournament, managed by AFFA referees, a team of journalists from news agencies and newspapers faced the "Ziya" team, consisting of journalists from socio-political news sites. The game ended with a 7:3 victory for "Akinchi".
In the final game of the tournament, the "Kaspi" team, formed from television employees, faced the "Kashkul" team, which included representatives of sports websites. In a tense sports struggle, the "Kaspi" players won 3:1 and lifted the cup over their heads.
At the award ceremony, the owners of the first 3 places - "Kaspi", "Kashkul" and "Akinchi" - were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively, and all participants were awarded honorary diplomas. The awards were presented by Murad Aliyev, editor-in-chief of "Yurd.Media", and Elshan Mammadov, chairman of the Sports Research Center.
The best goalkeeper of the tournament was Kanan Mastaliyev, the goalkeeper of "Kashkul", and the best player of the competition was Nurani Iskandarov, a member of "Kaspi". They were given a special prize.
At the end, Shahmar Huseynov, head of the Youth and Sports sector of the Shamakhi region of the Dagly Shirvan Regional Youth and Sports Department, presented the cup to the winning team.
It should be noted that the competition was held with the organizational support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, AFFA and the "Gabala" Sports Club.
