"We prepared seriously for the match. We knew that the opponent was a strong and dangerous team." Sport24.az reports that these thoughts were expressed in a statement to AZERTAC by Kristian Avram, the goalkeeper of the "Araz-Nakhchivan" club, while talking about the first game in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, in which they won 2:1 against the Greek team "Aris".
The Moldovan goalkeeper stated that the second game will be more difficult: "Nothing is over yet. A more difficult game awaits us in Greece. It's a great feeling for the club to win in its debut game in Europe. We want to continue this away. Even though we conceded the first goal, the fans did not get discouraged and supported us until the end. I am proud of my team. The determination was excellent."
It should be noted that the return match between the teams will be held on July 31 in Greece.
