Kazakhstan national futsal team head coach Kakau commented on the 9-2 victory over Azerbaijan in the first friendly match in Aktau. Sport24.az reports that the Brazilian, speaking to the local federation, said:
"The most important thing now is the victory. I am satisfied with our players, they played well. Of course, it wasn't an easy game. Three days ago, Azerbaijan lost to Georgia, a very high-level team participating in the European Championship. Our players showed character and determination. But we still have work to do in defense, we made two mistakes. The team played well. I told the guys that the first 10 minutes would be the hardest because we were playing 3-1. Then, when we were ahead 4-0, the young players started connecting, creating goal chances and scoring. However, there are still issues to be improved. We are currently using individual defense, but sometimes we switch to zonal defense depending on the situation. The opponent has two "stolb" players, it is difficult to play individually against them. Because they move a lot and tire us out. That's why we had to change our approach a bit."
