Emil Hasanov, a member of the Azerbaijani national team that faced Kazakhstan today, made a statement to the official website of the federation. Sport24.az reports that he said the following regarding the 2:4 defeat:
"First of all, I thank the people who support us in these games, who are always by our side, and who do not let us get discouraged. Today we played our second game in Aktau. The result was not encouraging in the first match. Although we played well in the first half of that match, then fatigue showed itself. Because we arrived here on the day of the game at night. Before that, we had two tough games in Tbilisi. Both the games, the fatigue of the road, and our arrival at night had an effect. Our physical fitness was not in perfect order either. Nevertheless, we rested for a day and had the opportunity to train in the gym. The head coach showed us our mistakes and told us how we could do better. Of course, we also had a strong and experienced team in front of us. We tried to do what we were told. We did not allow the opponent to play comfortably. True, we lost all the games, but this does not discourage us. On the contrary, as our head coach said, we must test our strength in difficult games in order to see our mistakes. There should be more such games.
To summarize, the April gathering was very useful. We appeared on the field in four games, and both of our opponents were strong teams. Again, I say that in friendly matches, the work you do on the field is more important than the result. I hope that we will definitely see the benefit of this in official games."
