Draw ceremony for the 2025-2026 season of the Azerbaijan Futsal Championships held

Today, the draw for the new 2025-2026 season was held in the Premier and First Leagues.

Idman.biz reports that at the ceremony held in the administrative building of AFFA, "Araz-Nakhchivan", which successfully completed the preliminary stage of the UEFA Champions League and won the right to participate in the main stage, was first congratulated.

6 teams will compete in the Premier League. "Lankaran" MFK is a debutant among them. The games will consist of 4 rounds and 20 rounds. The team with the most points will be declared the champion and will represent our country in the UEFA Champions League next season. Club representatives were informed about the changes made in the regulations. In the new season, there will be no limit on legionnaires in the Premier League. Teams will be able to include the names of the permitted number of foreign futsal players in the application and the game's protocol. In the first round, the gold and silver medalists of the past championship will face each other.

10 teams will participate in the First League. At the end of the round-robin system consisting of one round, the teams that finish in the top "4" will advance to the play-off stage. The owner of the 1st place will face the 4th place, and the owner of the 2nd place will face the team in the 3rd place. Unlike the Premier League, the lower league will have a limit on legionnaires. Teams will be able to register and play 4 foreign players with amateur status. The Premier League will start on September 18, and the First League on October 9.
