Bad luck prevented "Birbaşa Bakı" from reaching the final of the Minifootball Champions League.
This was stated by the team's head coach, Marius Mitu, in an interview with "Report".
The Romanian specialist was disappointed that they could not realize their dreams:
Despite showing very stable football, I was very disappointed that we were eliminated in the 1/4 finals with penalties. In addition to some small details, bad luck also prevented us from reaching the final."
He does not feel the need for major changes in the team:
"There will not be very big changes in the team. But we need to work harder on some specific issues so that we don't get eliminated early in the next tournaments."
The head coach also touched upon the performance of other Azerbaijani clubs, "Aznur" and "Zira", in the Champions League:
"I think all 3 teams from Azerbaijan performed well in this tournament, they showed quality football from a technical and tactical point of view. But sometimes that is not enough to win the tournament."
It should be noted that in the tournament held in Bulgaria, "Zira" and "Birbaşa Bakı" from Azerbaijani clubs stopped the fight in the 1/4 finals, and "Aznur" in the 1/8 finals.
