Idman.biz reports that this was stated by the head coach of the team, Sahib Mammadov, in an interview with Report.az.

The specialist also evaluated the results of the draw in Division B: "We are in the same group with the national teams of Belgium and Lithuania. In the other group there will be Kazakhstan, Romania, and Malta. Earlier, in the first qualifying round of the European Championship held in Spain, we defeated the Belgian team with a big score. But we lost to Lithuania. I would say that it is a normal group. I hope that we will qualify for the semi-finals with the maximum result as the first in the group, or at least as the second place holder. In the semi-finals, we will face either the first or second of the other group. Our goal is to qualify for Division A. At the same time, our goal is to win the final and become the champion of Division B."

Mammadov said that there were no serious changes in the team: "We will do our best. We will go to Italy with almost the same squad that we played in Spain. I believe that the team will both rise to Division A and return to Azerbaijan as the champion of Division B."

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will compete with the Lithuanian and Belgian teams in Division B. The European Superfinal will be held in Italy between September 7-14.
