Azerbaijani Futsal Referee to Officiate at European Championship Finals

For the first time in history, an Azerbaijani futsal referee has been appointed to the final stage of the European Championship.

Idman.Biz reports that this was reported by AFFA.

FIFA referee Hikmat Gafarli will be one of the 32 referees who will officiate at the final stage of the European Championship - 2026, which will be co-hosted by Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia. H. Gafarli will manage matches in Latvia and Lithuania during the tournament.

It should be noted that the continental championship games will be held from January 21 to February 7, 2026.
