As part of the preparations for the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2025, the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations hosted another training for marshals specializing in fire protection and rescue.
İdman.biz reports that the purpose of the training, organized by the Main Operations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, is to increase the skills and experience of marshals to prevent fires that may occur during races and quickly eliminate their consequences.
Approximately 200 marshals participated in the training, which consisted of theoretical and practical parts, 60 of whom are professional firefighters and rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In the theoretical part of the training, presentations were made to the event participants by the Baku City Circuit fire marshal team to strengthen their skills in fire safety, prevention of possible such events, and organization of rescue measures.
In the practical part, professional firefighters and rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations visually explained the rules of handling special equipment and equipment used in fire safety and rescue operations.
This type of training, which started in July this year, is being held for the 3rd time. Several more trainings are planned to be held after this.
It should be noted that the next Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on September 19-21 in Baku, the capital. During the race, it is planned to involve more than 30 special equipment and about 400 personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
