Australian McLaren driver Oscar Piastri won the sprint race at the Qatar Grand Prix, the 23rd stage of the Formula 1 World Championship.
Lent.az reports that Briton George Russell from Mercedes took second place. Piastri's teammate, Briton Lando Norris, took third place.
The qualifying stage for the main race will then take place. The stage program will end with the race on Sunday. The start is scheduled for 20:00 Baku time.
After the sprint race, Norris (396 points) leads the tournament table, Piastri (374) is in second place, and Verstappen (371) is in third place.
