The "Mercedes" Formula 1 team has announced the extension of contracts with drivers George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli for the next season.
Both drivers are graduates of the Mercedes junior program. Russell joined the program in 2017, while Antonelli joined in 2019.
Russell previously won GP3 and Formula 2 titles and moved to the main team after three seasons with Williams, where he achieved five victories. Antonelli has won several series before debuting in Formula 1 and has also won in Formula 2.
Russell is currently fourth in the overall drivers' standings, while Antonelli is seventh.
