"Red Bull" team driver Max Verstappen has been awarded a special prize by "Pirelli" for his pole record in the 2025 season.
İdman.Biz reports that the four-time "Formula 1" world champion was presented with a large decorative tire as the pilot with the most pole positions after the qualifying race of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Verstappen also showed the best time in the qualifying lap held at the "Yas Marina" track.
This result was his eighth pole of the current season. His closest follower, Lando Norris ("McLaren"), has 7, and the Briton's teammate, Oscar Piastri, has 6 poles. George Russell ("Mercedes") and Charles Leclerc ("Ferrari") each have one pole in the season.
In the qualifying race in Abu Dhabi, Verstappen completed the lap with a time of 1:22.207. Norris finished second, 0.201 seconds behind him, and Piastri finished third. George Russell will also start the race from the second row.
This special tire presented to Verstappen is considered a symbol of his clear dominance in Saturday's qualifying runs in the 2025 season.
