Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who competes in Formula 1, has equaled Michael Schumacher's record (116) for the number of podium finishes within one team in racing history.
"Report", citing Autosport, reports that the Dutch driver achieved this by winning the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix held in Italy.
This victory was the 116th for the 27-year-old driver within the Austrian team. The current record belongs to Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton. He has been on the podium 153 times while working at Mercedes.
The Dutch pilot has also surpassed Sebastian Vettel in the number of laps he has led in races. Verstappen has completed a total of 3560 laps as a leader during his career, while Vettel has 3501. This is the third-best result in Formula 1 history. The first two best indicators belong to Lewis Hamilton (5487 laps) and Michael Schumacher (5111 laps).
