"Formula 1" management and the organizers of the Las Vegas stage are in talks to extend the contract with the track until 2037.
İdman.Biz reports this with reference to the Sports Business Journal.
"A long-term contract for the Southern Nevada Grand Prix to be held for the next decade is being carefully examined by race officials and the region as the 2025 event approaches. The initial three-year contract between the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Formula 1 expires after this year's race, after which a new two-year contract will take effect."
Officials hope to reach a new agreement that will ensure the race continues in Las Vegas for several years after 2027. According to LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill, "Preliminary negotiations are underway between the LVCVA and Formula 1 for a new agreement for a period of five to ten years. This will allow the race to be held in Las Vegas every year on the weekend before Thanksgiving until 2032 or even until the end of 2037."
Las Vegas Grand Prix President and CEO Emily Prazer said that "a huge campaign by Formula 1 and Liberty Media is expected to provide funding to facilitate the race," the Sports Business Journal article says.
