The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has released renders of "Formula 1" cars after major changes to the technical regulations for the 2026 season.

Idman.Biz reports that the official images confirm the key changes previously announced.

The new cars will be significantly shorter, narrower and lighter than current models. These changes are aimed at improving overtaking opportunities. A shorter wheelbase should make the cars more maneuverable in corners.

The most notable new feature will be an active aerodynamics system that allows drivers to change the angle of attack of the front and rear wing elements during the race. This will replace the current DRS system and become the main tool for control on the track. This will be reflected in the new, simpler wing design.

In addition, as part of the transition to green technologies, the cars will use 100% sustainable biofuel from 2026. The images also confirm the removal of the wheel arches above the front tires.
