"Ferrari" has unveiled the SC40 supercar, made to special order and in only 1 copy.
İdman.Biz reports that, according to reports, the new car was created on the basis of the "Ferrari 296 GTB" and is part of the company's special projects program.
The exterior of the car was designed by Flavio Manzoni, chief designer of "Ferrari". His work includes 296 GTB, "Ferrari F80", "12-Cilindri", "LaFerrari" and many other "Ferrari" models. The car's name, SC40, is a reference to the legendary "Ferrari F40" that inspired Manzoni.
The SC40 has a completely redesigned body with sharp angular lines gradually transitioning to a smooth surface. The car stands out with its long, low hood, short rear overhang and large fixed rear wing. According to the creators, thanks to the updated body, the "SC40" is 10% more powerful than the "296 GTB".
The "Ferrari SC40" inherits the chassis and a 610 kW (830 hp) hybrid power unit based on a V6 three-liter twin-turbo from the "296 GTB". The internal combustion engine produces 488 kW (663 hp), and the electric motor produces an additional 123 kW (167 hp). The hybrid is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Despite its more aggressive and sophisticated aerodynamics, the speed performance of the "Ferrari SC40" can be compared to the "296 GTB": the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Its top speed is over 330 km/h.
It is not disclosed for which customer the car was created, nor is its price.
