Lewis Hamilton, who competes for the Ferrari team in Formula 1, reacted harshly after a poor result at the Las Vegas Grand Prix and voiced harsh opinions about the season.
Idman.Biz reports that the British pilot started from the last place in the stage held in Sin City and initially took 10th place, but later his result rose to eighth place due to McLaren's double disqualification.
After the race, Hamilton did not hide his anger and said:
"I feel terrible. This is the worst season and it's getting worse. I'm doing my best. I can't wait for it to end. I'm not even looking forward to next season."
Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur understands the 40-year-old pilot's dissatisfaction, but thinks his thoughts are too emotional:
"Starting from P20, of course things get difficult. But the first part of the race was good enough. We had a little more difficulty with the medium tires in the second stint. Let's calm down. The first thoughts spoken as soon as you get out of the car are always a bit much, and that's how it was this time."
Vasseur said he understands Hamilton's disappointment with the season, but doesn't want him to dwell on it too much:
"I understand Lewis' reaction immediately after the race. But in these cases, we need to calm down and focus on the next two races. Keep in mind that Lewis showed good pace in FP1 and FP2. We need to build the weekend like this and, of course, starting from 20th place is not the best way to end the season."
The Formula 1 season will end on December 7 after the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
