Dan Tauriss, head of Cadillac's Formula 1 program, has criticized Ford's approach to working with the Red Bull team in the "Royal Races" series.
According to Idman.Biz, Tauriss emphasized that General Motors has had a stake in the Cadillac team from day one.
"Our approaches are not even comparable. In one case, it is a marketing agreement, and the scope of this collaboration is minimal. At the same time, General Motors owns a stake in the Cadillac team. They have been involved in this project from day one and are deeply involved on the engineering side. These two approaches are very different," The Athletic quoted Tauriss as saying.
It should be reminded that Cadillac will debut in Formula 1 in 2026. The team will include Mexican driver Sergio Perez and Finn Valtteri Bottas.
