French coach Zinedine Zidane will not return to Real Madrid, despite possible return rumors.
It was previously reported that current head coach Xabi Alonso was about to be sacked from Real Madrid.
Zidane, who has not coached since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, is considered the main candidate to replace him.
Lent.az reports that according to journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano's social media account, Zidane is currently fully focused on preparing for his job with the French national team.
It should be reminded that the current coach of the national team, Didier Deschamps, will leave the team after the 2026 World Cup. Zidane has not yet signed a contract with the French Football Federation, but the parties have mutually agreed that Zidane will take office after Deschamps leaves.
During his coaching career at Real Madrid (2016-2018 and 2019-2021), Zinedine Zidane won two Spanish championships and three Champions League titles.
