WC-2026 has seen its first coaching departure. According to Sport24.az, Sabri Lamouchi, the coach of the Tunisia team that lost to Sweden, has resigned from his position.

An emergency meeting was held between the federation representatives and the coach after the 1:5 defeat, and Lamouchi subsequently decided to resign.
The Tunisia team will compete in Group F against Sweden, the Netherlands, and Japan.
