The reason for the non-participation of Dynamo captain Andrey Yarmolenko in the application for the return match against Qarabag in the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League has been revealed.
İdman.Biz reports that Ukrainian journalist Andrey Piskun said that the experienced footballer arrived in Baku with the team and is ready to play.
According to allegations, Yarmolenko learned during the tactical meeting before the game that head coach Igor Kostyuk did not plan to put him in the starting lineup. The footballer, dissatisfied with this decision, decided to stay at the hotel instead of going to the stadium.
Note that Dynamo won the first match against Qarabag with a score of 1:0, but lost the return match in Baku with a score of 0:2 and stopped fighting in the tournament. Yarmolenko did not participate in either match.
