Ivory Coast has started WC-2026 with a win. Sport24.az reports that the African team defeated Ecuador 1-0 in the first match of the group stage.
The only goal of the match was scored by Amad Diallo in the 90th minute.
Thanks to this victory, Ivory Coast is in second place in Group E with three points, while Ecuador (zero points) is in third place.
Note that in the next round, on June 20, Ivory Coast will face Germany, and Ecuador will face Curaçao on June 21.
