Virgil van Dijk, the captain of Liverpool, highly rated the potential of the team's new transfer, Bradley Barcola, stating his belief that the French footballer will achieve success in the English Premier League.
Idman.Biz reports that the Dutch defender told the Man About Town magazine in an interview that he is satisfied with Barcola's performance in training.
“He had a very good training session today,” said Van Dijk.
The captain also commented on Barcola's transfer for £123 million (approximately 280 million manat):
“He came to the team for a very high transfer fee. But that is not an issue he has control over. Barcola has already demonstrated his skills in France. He is a high-level player and I believe he will perform well here as well”.
Van Dijk also spoke about the responsibility he bears as the captain of a revamped team:
“I always maintain my desire to succeed. I have a responsibility towards our fans and to myself. I will never step onto the pitch with half-hearted motivation”.
