Liverpool FC manager Arne Slot has spoken about the chances of young forward Rio Nquoma playing against PSG in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
Idman.Biz reports that the 17-year-old forward is unlikely to appear on the field in the next European Cup match, despite his successful debut in the first team.
Nquoma made his first start in the match against Fulham as part of the 32nd round of the Premier League the previous day. He marked his debut with a goal, opening the scoring in the match. That match ended with a 2-0 victory for Liverpool, with Mohamed Salah scoring the team's second goal before the break.
According to the club's press service, Slot emphasized the young player's physical condition:
"Overall, leaving aside the game on Tuesday, it is unrealistic to expect a 17-year-old to participate in three matches in six days. Especially considering the atmosphere in Paris, this doesn't seem so convincing."
It should be noted that after 32 rounds, Liverpool is in 5th place in the English Championship table and is currently outside the Champions League zone.
