Siyasat Asgarov: "The championship is the result of the effort made during the season"

"Neftchi" women's team becoming the champion of Azerbaijan with two rounds left until the end of the season is the result of the effort made.

This was stated by Siyasat Asgarov, the head coach of the capital's representative.

The specialist emphasized the importance of becoming champions in the Azerbaijan Premier League.

"Thank God, we experienced the joy of championship again, as in previous years. This success is not just a trophy for us, but the result of the effort made during the season. I congratulate my players who made the main contribution to the championship, as well as the club management and the women's football community. Our team achieved this result without losing, fighting to the end. There are still two rounds ahead, and I believe that we will complete those matches without defeat as well," he said in his statement to report.az.

S. Asgarov also shared his thoughts on the team's goals in the UEFA Champions League:

"We have represented Azerbaijan in the UEFA Champions League twice before as champions. Unfortunately, those performances were not successful. Since we are new to this tournament at the club level, we are in the lower ranks in the ranking, and this causes us to face stronger opponents. But this year we will take a different approach. Our squad is made up of young people, and past experience and the development of girls give us hope for achieving better results. If we are lucky in the draw, we can perform successfully in the European arena."
