Today, the draw for the League stage of the UEFA Champions League took place. Sport24.az reports that the event, which will be held in Monaco, started at 20:00 Baku time.
At the draw ceremony, the 8 opponents of "Qarabag", which will represent Azerbaijan in the competition, were also determined. The Aghdam representative will play 4 of the games at home and 4 away. The "Qarabag" club was represented at the ceremony at the management level.
In the draw, 36 teams were divided into 4 pots. "Qarabag" was in the 4th pot, which included teams with lower ratings.
During the draw, a ball was first drawn from the 1st pot. Then, the automated program, which was also used last year, randomly selected eight opponents for that club. The same procedure was repeated for all teams, and as a result, all pairs were determined.
Two teams from each pot were rivals to two teams from other pots.
Teams from the same association cannot face each other in the League stage.

The first round of Champions League matches will be held on September 16-18. The game schedule will be announced on August 30.
