PSG must pay its former forward, Kilian Mbappe, approximately 100 million euros, not 61 million euros.
Idman.Biz reports that RMC Sport released information about this, citing the player's lawyers.
"This will cost them approximately 100 million euros. The amounts owed to Kilian Mbappe over the last year and a half have allowed PSG to raise funds and use them for player transfers for a year and a half. This money belongs to the French state; it is the money of taxpayers," Mbappe's lawyer said.
However, it was clarified that the 26-year-old football player will receive significantly less than the 61 million euros that PSG owes to its former player, due to various deductions from his salary and taxes.
"This amount includes the employer's social security payments and payroll taxes. In addition, the employee will also pay taxes. Roughly speaking, the player will earn approximately 25 or 26 million euros. The state will receive approximately 75 million euros [of the total amount]. In any case, this is no small thing," Mbappe's lawyer, Delphine Verheyden, added.
It was reported in November of this year that Mbappe demanded 263 million euros in compensation from PSG. This amount includes the striker's unpaid salary and bonuses after his contract expired, as well as compensation for his treatment at the club. Yesterday, on December 16, the Paris Labor Court ordered the club to pay Kilian approximately 61 million euros.
