Qarabag FC player Marko Jankovic has been suspended for eight games. Sport24.az reports that the decision was made by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee.
The Aghdam representative was fined more than 74,000 manats.
This was caused by the events in the return leg of the semi-final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, in which the Aghdam representative lost to Sabah (1:2).
After the match, "Qarabag" player Marko Jankovic received a second yellow card. The Montenegrin midfielder will be banned for 8 games for attempting to physically pressure the referee in the corridor and threatening the referee.
"Qarabag" will pay 25,500 manats due to the player's actions.
Aghdam club goalkeeper Mateus Koxalski received a one-match ban for receiving a direct red card, and the club was fined 1,000 manats.
During that match, the club lost 2,000 manats because "Qarabag" fans threw foreign objects onto the field. 7,000 manats will be paid for the use of pyrotechnics by the fans. These fans also used offensive language en masse. For this reason, the club will lose 8,000 manats. The stadium where the match was held was damaged and destroyed. The Aghdam representative was fined 5,000 manats for this and will cover the damage caused to 70 seats.
The coach of "Qarabag", Huseyn Seyidov, tried to physically pressure and insult the referee. H.Seyidov was penalized with 6 matches, and the club was fined 18,000 manats. "Qarabag" employee Ilgar Shamilov tried to physically pressure the game's official. He was sentenced to a five-match ban, and the club lost 8,000 manats.
In addition, Sabah club was also fined for the events that took place in the mentioned match.
The Masazir representative will have to pay 700 manats for receiving five yellow cards, 2,000 manats for fans throwing foreign objects onto the field, 6,500 manats for unauthorized persons entering the field, and 3,000 manats for fans using pyrotechnics.
