The Netherlands national team coach Ronald Koeman commented on the victory over Sweden in the 2nd round match of group F of the 2026 World Cup.
Sport.Biz reports that the match ended 5:1.
"We really wanted to win the first match of the tournament. That's why we were under certain pressure today, because we don't want to resolve everything in the last round.
We played very well in many situations. But despite our 5:1 advantage, it's clear that it took us some time to get used to the changes in the opponent's game when they started playing differently.
This is a great victory and a great result. But there were enough moments when we could say "we could have done this better"", - quotes AD Commander.
After this match, the Netherlands have four points and are in first place in group F. Sweden is in second place with three points.
