Last year, Morocco began planning the construction of the Grand Stade Hassan II, a 115,000-capacity arena that will include the world's largest stadium, botanical gardens, and a 100-hectare sports and entertainment zone.
Lent.az, citing foreign media, reports that the stadium will consist of three tiers, each with a capacity of 29,500 spectators. In addition, five tiers are planned for hospitality, including VIP boxes, which can accommodate up to 12,000 spectators.
The stadium's chief architect, Tarik Oualalou, spoke about its design:
"The design is based on ancient and initial images: tents and gardens, as well as the relief and landscapes of Morocco. The Grand Stade Hassan II in Casablanca is the embodiment of the great traditions of Moroccan hospitality."
Work is already underway on the stadium in the Benslimane province, east of Casablanca, and it was reported in May that the stadium could host the World Cup final after the tournament concludes at the end of 2027.
However, according to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", based on an agreement between FIFA and "Real", the final is now expected to be held at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, which has a capacity of 85,000 spectators.
