Meeting held at "Neftchi", support expressed to the head coach

The results of the season were discussed and support was expressed to the head coach at the meetings held this week with the participation of representatives of the Supervisory Board of the "Neftchi" club, head coach Samir Abasov, Chief Executive Officer Cenk Sümer, sports and finance departments.

The Chief Executive Officer informed the Supervisory Board about the club's annual activities, and the reports of the head coach, finance director and sports department were heard.

The Supervisory Board expressed serious dissatisfaction with the team's results and assessed the results of the season as unacceptable. At the same time, the existing shortcomings in the selection work were also discussed.

However, the Supervisory Board expressed full support for Samir Abasov and instructed other departments of the club to provide all kinds of support for the implementation of a transfer strategy in accordance with the head coach's wishes regarding team building.

Samir Abasov was tasked with building a strong team worthy of the name of "Neftchi", the country's most established club, that will fight for the highest goals, and taking the first steps in this direction in a short time. The Supervisory Board stated that it will provide all kinds of support to Samir Abasov in this way.

At the same time, the head coach, the Chief Executive Officer and the sports department were instructed to ensure that the team building process does not negatively affect the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects that are currently ongoing and cover a certain part of the club's budget.
