Azerbaijani athletes won medals at the European Championship, one record was broken

The first day of the European Team Championship held in Maribor, Slovenia has ended.

Idman.biz reports that members of the Azerbaijani national team tested their strength on the first day of the competition.

Two of them achieved high results. Alham Nagiyev took the highest place on the podium in the 100 m race. He showed a result of 10.42 seconds.

Lamiya Valiyeva was satisfied with the second place in the same category. Her result was 11.62 seconds.

Ilaha Guliyeva set a national record in the U-20 age category in the 400 m race at the championship. Our athlete took 4th place with a result of 55.35 seconds.
