French striker Kylian Mbappe scored his 59th goal for Real Madrid in 2025.
Idman.Biz reports that he did so in the 17th round of the Spanish League in a 2-0 victory over Sevilla.
With this, Mbappe has reached the goal record set by legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid in a calendar year. In 2013, the Portuguese scored 59 goals.
Real Madrid will no longer play in 2025 and have already gone on Christmas vacation, so Kilian will not be able to surpass the Portuguese star's achievement this year.
Mbappe has been playing for Real Madrid since 2024. His contract with the club runs until 2029. This season, the Frenchman has played 27 games in all competitions, scored 30 goals and provided four assists.
