Real Madrid's star footballer, Kylian Mbappe, gave mixed messages after the 2-0 victory against Oviedo. Sport24.az reports that the French striker was dissatisfied with being on the bench and revealed the details of his dialogue with the head coach.
Mbappe directly attributed his absence from the starting lineup to the technical management's decision:
"I had a conversation with the head coach. He clearly told me that I am currently the fourth choice in the attacking line. That is the reason why I am not in the starting lineup."
However, the footballer's words immediately provoked a reaction from the other side. Alvaro Arbeloa denied Mbappe's statements, stating that the situation was misunderstood:
"Kilian didn't understand me correctly. I didn't use such an expression towards him. Everyone has their place in the team."
Evaluating the course of the season, the French star did not hide his dissatisfaction with the team's performance:
"Everything was fine in the first half of the season, but in the second half, it's as if we lost everything. This is not the level of Real Madrid."
Answering questions about his future, Mbappe emphasized that he has no intention of leaving the club. He also called Florentino Perez the best president in the club's history:
"I am happy in Madrid, why should I leave? I have great respect for our president, he is the best in history."
