Lazio's head coach Maurizio Sarri has made harsh statements regarding the match schedule in the Italian Serie A and the situation after the defeat to Inter. Sport24.az reports that the experienced specialist expressed his dissatisfaction, especially regarding the time of the Roma-Lazio derby.
Sarri strongly protested against the possibility of the derby being held in the afternoon:
"The exact time of the derby is not yet clear, but I feel that the match will be on Sunday at 12:30 in the afternoon. If this is the case, I will not participate in that game. This confusion stems from serious mistakes made by the league. If I were the club president, I would not let the team play like that."
The Italian coach also criticized the silence of the management:
"Obvious mistakes have been made, but no one comes out and apologizes. It's as if everything is normal. However, we are talking about matches worth millions of euros."
Sarri also evaluated the game with Inter. He said that his team tried to reduce the opponent's pressure in the first half, but individual mistakes disrupted their plans:
"In the first half, we almost gifted the goals to the opponent ourselves. After that, the game became much more difficult for us. We knew that the opponent was technically stronger. They deserved to win."
