The management of "Atalanta" club considers 67-year-old "Lazio" coach Maurizio Sarri as the main candidate to replace the current head coach Raffaele Palladino if he is dismissed.
Idman.Biz reports that this was reported by journalist and insider Nicolo Schira on social media.
According to media reports, Sarri's relationship with the "Lazio" management has reached a breaking point, which may lead to the Italian coach leaving the club at the end of the season. Sarri was appointed as the coach of "Lazio" in the summer of 2025 and has since played 41 matches, recording 16 wins, 13 draws and 12 losses. The management of the Rome club is dissatisfied with Sarri's performance, as the team failed to qualify for the Europa League next season.
Sarri's contract with "Lazio" runs until the summer of 2027, but there is a possibility that he will leave his post sooner than planned.
