Former Manchester United and Scotland footballer Denis Law has died at the age of 84.
"Report" reports with reference to "Sky Sports" that his family announced it.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce that our father, Denis Law, has passed away. He was struggling hard, but now he has finally found peace," the family said in a statement.
It should be noted that although Law started his career at the age of 15 at the Scottish club Aberdeen, real success came to him in 1962 when he signed a contract with Manchester United. He played for the "Red Devils" for 11 years and became one of the brightest players of his time. During this time, Law became the English champion three times, won the English Cup twice, and won the European Champions Cup in 1968, the most important football award on the continent. His 237 goals in 404 games for Manchester United are among the best results in the club's history.
In 1964, Law was awarded the "Golden Ball" as the best football player in Europe. His game combined incredible technique, intelligence and an incomparable goal-scoring instinct.
After ending his career, Law continued to participate in the life of the club and the public football world, despite the Alzheimer's disease he faced in recent years.
