Juan Garcia, the goalkeeper of Barcelona, has been named the best player of the 2025/2026 La Liga season.
According to Lent.az, this assessment was conducted by "The Athletic" publication.
This season, the Spanish goalkeeper Juan Garcia participated in 45 matches for the Catalan club in all tournaments, conceded 42 goals, and kept a clean sheet in 18 matches.
The publication noted that last summer, Barcelona had difficulty transferring Garcia from Espanyol. The club's salary limits and the complex situation with the main goalkeeper Mark-Andre ter Stegen were factors that complicated the transfer.
Nevertheless, the transfer was extremely successful. According to the publication, Garcia played a key role in Barcelona winning the championship title.
Juan Garcia's contract with Barcelona is valid until mid-2031. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the goalkeeper's market value at 40 million euros.
