"We believed that we would win this game. Even after the first half, our belief did not diminish." These words were said by Zira's football player Jeyhun Nuriyev in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 23-year-old midfielder shared his thoughts on the match in the XXI round of the Premier League, where they defeated Qarabag (3:2):
"We achieved a well-deserved victory. Our team's determination deserves applause. Our head coach Rashad Sadigov also believed in the victory and instilled it in us. During the break, he instructed us not to lose focus on the match, and we did it more than enough."
Nuriyev said that this result will greatly help them in terms of qualifying for European cups.
It should be noted that Zira was 0:2 down in the first half of the game against Qarabag.
