"You shouldn't panic when you're behind in the final games."
This was said by Jesse Sekidika, a football player of "Sabah", the winner of the Azerbaijan Cup.
He commented on the victory over "Zira" in the decisive match.
"I think it was a good game. Although we conceded a goal in the first minutes, we later had the advantage. We have seen finals that started like this. But the main thing is to win in the end, and we are happy about that," he said in an interview with report.az.
The striker said that the stronger one won in the final:
"I think we deserved to win. I don't know what our head coach told the players during the break, because I wasn't there. But in such finals, you shouldn't panic when you are behind. Moreover, if you concede the first goal early in the match, it means there is still a lot of time left. After that, what you can do is take control of the game and create a lot of goal chances. We are all happy that we won."
C.Sekidika said that they will seriously prepare for the UEFA Champions League:
"We are still busy celebrating this great victory. I believe that we will draw a successful schedule in the European Cups as well. We will have time to prepare for international matches."
