The 27-year-old midfielder called the 2025/2026 season, in which they made a "golden double", the most beautiful and unforgettable of his career.
Lepinitsa expressed his impressions about the game in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup, in which they defeated "Zira" with a score of 2:1, as follows.
"I think it was a very tough game. "Zira" scored early. They almost retreated into defense after the goal. But after we scored a goal, our job became a little easier. Although we were behind in the score until the 70th minute, we didn't think about losing. Our only goal was to equalize the score. We had good scoring opportunities in the first half, but we couldn't take advantage of them. I think we were the best team on the field. The deserving team also won," he said in a statement to teleqraf.az.
The footballer, who has attracted attention with his good performance this season, said the following about his future at "Sabah":
"The season is not over yet. Therefore, I don't want to think about it. Something can be said after the season is over. We are thinking more about rest now. We need it."
It should be noted that "Sabah" signed a 3+1 year contract with Ivan Lepinitsa, who they transferred from Croatian club "Slaven Belupo" in 2024.
