Milan's "Inter" football club continues its search for a goalkeeper for the summer transfer window, and Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin of Spain's "Real" has emerged as a prominent name on the "nerazzurri's" list of candidates.
İdman.Biz reports, citing "La Gazzetta dello Sport", that "Inter" management intends to replace experienced Yan Sommer, whose contract expires in 2026, with a younger and more promising player. Lunin stands out from other candidates due to his lower transfer fee and annual salary demands that fit the club's budget. The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who confidently guarded "Real's" goal during Tibo Courtois' injury periods, already has sufficient high-level playing experience.
It should be reminded that although Andriy Lunin extended his contract with "Real" in September 2024 until June 2030, his disagreement with the status of the second goalkeeper in the team and his desire for constant playing practice increases the likelihood of his move to Italy in the summer. Currently, the market value of the Ukrainian player is estimated at approximately 15-20 million euros (30-40 million AZN).
