The AFFA Disciplinary Committee has punished "Neftchi" player Igor Ribeiro with a three-match ban. Sport24.az reports that this was due to the defender receiving a red card in the third round of the Misli Premier League match against "Turan Tovuz".
The player was handed a 3-match ban for receiving a straight red card in the 55th minute of the match for aggressive behaviour (hitting an opponent). "Agh-garalar" was fined 3000 manats.
The capital representative will pay an additional 2000 manats for fans throwing foreign objects onto the field.
The "Imishli" club was also fined 3000 manats. This was due to the team's late arrival for the match against "Sabah".
It should be noted that "Neftchi" lost to "Turan Tovuz" and "Sabah" to "Imishli" with a score of 0:1.
