"Columbus Crew" head coach Henrik Ridström has high expectations for Nariman Akhundzade.
Idman.Biz reports that he stated this in an interview with the club's official website after the game against "Toronto".
The head coach emphasized the importance of strengthening competition within the team:
"We have time to recover, heal our wounds, and come together, but we need more competition for that. Right now, we are acting too cautiously on the field. I hope that new players joining the team, such as Andre Gomes and Nariman Akhundzade, will be able to raise our level to increase competition. It is very important that we fight more seriously with their arrival."
It should be noted that N.Akhundzade entered the field in the 88th minute of the match and made history as the first Azerbaijani football player to play in MLS. The match ended with a 2:1 victory for "Toronto".
